We, at Friends of Rural Development, aim at providing the youth and women in the Low to Moderate Income groups in rural India with a comprehensive formal and informal education program. Exposure to this program will help the youth and women in realising their full potential and will empower them to face the challenges life throws at them, it will also help them escalate the ladders of success. We aim at tapping the pool of talent, present in the rural parts of India and that lies hidden from the eyes of the world and to provide a conducive environment which will help in harnessing their latent potential and giving to the world honest, hard working, self respecting and capable youth armed with qualities like self esteem and self confidence.

We would love it if you could share your valuable time with us and share with us the things that you would know and we don’t. You could spare a month, a day, or even a few hours and help us spread the knowledge.

You could be an Army Officer, a Beaurocrat, an Engineer, somebody from the corporate world, a Teacher or a Lawyer just about anything. Your professional skills, expertise, material support all would be both precious and indispensable. You could teach music, drama, drawing etc. Or you could make lesson plans or even spend some quality time with the children by reading out a story to them. You could donate your old computers or help maintain ours. A little humility would surely go a long way in helping us in our endeavours and ensuring a bright future for the children.

To sum it all up, help in any form is appreciated. You could share your valuable time with us by teaching or donate old story books or donate a sum to be utilized for upcoming projects. Come and walk beside us as we embark on a journey to ensure a bright future for the children.

Education is a right for one but a luxury for the other- but why should it be that way? Help us break such stereotypes and help the children on their journey towards education and help us transform dreams into realities. A contribution, however big or small, is highly appreciated.
